This book is about a young boy who is afraid to go to school so his grandfather takes him back in time to all the times he was afraid to encourage him using a Ford time machine. It is a whimsical tale portraying the importance of bravery.
The illustrator used many different elements of art to engage the reader and bring the reader into the setting of the story. There is the presence of whimsical colors to portray the scene and bring the genre of science fiction to light. It shows depth and value on page t show the time travel with the car. The pictures composition flows the readers eyes across the page to view each aspect of the scene. The illustrations are detailed and soft allowing the reader to feel the fantasy of the story through the pages.
